Ganesha Yagna in Suryakaladi,Kerala

Suryakaladi mana

Suryakaladi mana

About Suryakaladimana:

Suryakaladimana, one of the six richest focal points renowned for Ganesha worship and  ‘mantra’ practitioners (mantravada) the science of Mantra. This Mana, situated in Nattassery, Kottayam Dist, Kerala is enriched with glorious tradition and legends is believed to have been instituted by Lord Parasurama

What is Mana?  A Mana, the abode of brahmins is usually the centre of culture, education and scale of wisdom. In Kerala these manas were said to be established by Lord Parasurama inorder to fabricate a new texture of social customs and traditions.  Namboothiri’s from north were brought by him as a part of this novel concept.

The term Nampoothiri (Nampaan pattunnavar) means those who can be trusted and the suffix thiri denotes their revered status in Kerala Society. They were once, the final word in manthram (Sacred Prayers), Tanthram (Sacred Practices), Jyothisha (Astrology) and Mantravaadam (Occult Practices) and were the advisor’s to the king

Surya Kaladi Mana  belonged to the kumaaranallore village in the modern Kottayam district but, the present family traces their lineage to Kaladi in Shukapuram village (present Ponnani Taluk of Malappuram District). The Nampoothiries of Surya Kaladi Mana belong to the ‘Vishishtar’ category of Nampoothiries who came after their upper most classification or Azhvaanchery Thamprakkal (the supreme spiritual head of Nampoothiries) and the eldest male member of the family is always known as Suryan Bhattathiri.

Suryakaladi Vinayaka Chathurthi

Suryakaladi Vinayaka Chathurthi

Surya Kaladi Mana is known for their renowned ancestors who were great taantriks or those who perform the Tantram. The sumptuous and ritualistic breakfast or Ganapathi Prathal offered to their family deity, Sri Maha Ganapathy is also very famous. Pratyaksha Ganapathy Homam invoking Sree Ganapathy in a live elephant is their unique speciality.

Suryakaladi Vinayaka Chathurthi

Suryakaladi Vinayaka Chathurthi

This place vibrates with echoes of divinity during the Vinayaka chathurthi day . The festival is observed with great enthusiasm. Supreme poojas and unique programmes are held on this day. Distinguished artist from diverse cultures and artistic regions flock the holy sands of Suryakalady Mana at this day.

Suryakalady Mana plans for a 256 days Mahayajna , the first of its kind, will have the rarest of the poojas being perrformed by Brahmasree Suryan Bhattathiripas and the divine fire will be made potent and powerful through chantings, poojas and havanas every single day. Throughout the 248 days prior to the last 8 days, all devotees can come to yajnashala and be part of the eight crore japa-havana program. Each chanting makes them purer; enables them and equip them to soar through the spiritual skies with two wings of bhakti and knowledge. The last eight days from 27 Dec 2012 will witness the rare kriyas as well as vedic and tantric ceremonies like ‘Vanjakalpalatha Ganapathi Havana’, ‘Mrithasanjeevani Pooja’, ‘Sangeetha Mathangi Pooja’ etc.

The whole program will cover the chanting of Ganesha Puranam (the moolam-original), the religious discourses, and instructive exposures about various worshipping styles of Lord Ganesha. This attempt is sure to spark a surprising vibration not only to human minds and lives, but to the nature too. These changes will be scientifically recorded by the ‘Srutha Satra Parishat of Kerala’ under the supervision of Dr T.I Radhakrishnan and a group of famous scientists.

Please note that I will be sharing the entire album in Facebook.  Kindly connect with us on Facebook for images.

SRI VANCHA KALPA GANAPATHY

SRI VANCHA KALPA GANAPATHY  BY BHARADWAJA SWAMIGAL ( By, Gnk from Mantra and Sloka Group)

I will be updating this post with chapters as and when possible, those interested in reading about SRI VANCHA KALPA GANAPATHY  kindly bookmark

OM SRI MAHAGANAPATHAYE NAMA ! OM GAM GANAPATHAYE NAMA : !

Sree Vancha Kalpa Ganapathy homam ; the very moment you utter this name , you feel the inward pleasure ; no other homam has this much attractive name ! Just before 15 years ago , mostly nobody knew this ; Kalpa means , this homam gives the result as desired like the Kalpa vruksha – tree ! though Sri Mahaganapathy is the main Deity of this homam , the manthras in it are the mahamanthra Gayathri , The Panchadashee called the Manthra rajam in sri Vidhya manthras & the Bala , which takes one to the Srividhya Aradhana ! Sri Vancha Kalpa Ganapathy Manthra is the Deivasthra of the one containing the Brahmasthra , Nagasthra , Agneyasthra , Pasupathasthra & Narayanasthra !

The first Ruik sloka of Durga Suktham , Ruk Vedha Manthra & Bhagya sooktha manthras are finely twisted in it & chanted beautifully , are very powerful ! This manthra is NOT available & will NOT yield any result to the following people : Very ordinary souls ; the one who insults the elder ( learned & respectful ) ; Who aren’t orthodox ; who don’t perform the Siva pooja ; who have not received the Sri Vidhya dheeksha ; rationalists ; who don’t respect the learned philosophers ; who don’t respect the devotees ; Who had left the study of the Vedhas in the middle ; who have learned Vedhas & don’t follow it in life ; who don’t respect & protect their parents ; who misused the Rajyalakshmi ; who earn through the interest of money by lending others ; who live by bribe ; the women who control their husbands & arguing ; who cheat the Govt ; & the people who perform this homam like a trade : this homam will never yield any good result to these people ; instead the sin will accumulate like a mountain & won’t let their family to live properly ! especially , the gurudhrohis – must not even spell the name of tjhis homam ; Because Lalitha Thripura Sundhari’s manthra Pancha dasaksharee & Bala’s manthras are there ; and , Gurusvaroopinee Devi Herself is ruling there in the form of sakshath sarva manthrakara ; to the people with pure mind with devotion & purity alone Sri Vancha Kalpa Ganapathy is blesses with the Varasiddhi !

Hence , the devotees of this Sri Vancha kalpa Ganapathy must cut off the relationship of such people mentioned above ! The yogyatha – the qualification – to even touch the spoon used to perform the Homam – is attained only after he has finished chanting this Moola manthra of Ganapathy “Om sreem hreem kleem gloum gam vara varadha sarvajanam me vashamanaya svaha “ 4,44,444 times ; remember the Ganapathy Sahasra namavali : chathur laksha japapreethayai nama : !

There are many niyamam , nishtai , anushtanam & conditions to perform this homam ; it is like playing with fire if one is not fulfilling these qualifications ! Hence , one should not just perform it for unnecessary dambam & jambam ( to show him as a big devotee to others with pride ) ; otherwise , the fire of sin accrued through it will spoil his children & erase his kulam & gothram !A manthram is not a group of words ; a manthra produces the result according to the mental staus / strength & devotion ! How can one get the manthropadesha from a person who doesn’t chant the Gayathri at all ? Likewise , one shouldn’t get the manthropashesha from the following persons : – who hasn’t completed his japam of akshara laksham ; who doesn’t perform the nithya pooja ; & who doesn’t perform the sivaradhanam !Then , how to find out the right one to get the manthropadhesham ? It is not an easy job ; But , their daily aradhana ; their stipulated/controlled life ; will show out their devotion & when you see him , you will have the sense of devotion in your mind ; your mind will be in an elated mood ; such people are too today ! The people who finished doing the tharppanam called vpurascharanam ; Homam ; santharappanam ; Archanai ; are only eligible to do the manthropadesham ! This method is done by Dhevi Herself ; She Herself is creating this route called Samprdhayam & guides !

Asthivaram – the foundation is Ganapathy ; Mooladharam is Ganapathy ; Ganapathy shows the gnanaprakasam ; and , gives the good buddhi ; The good buddhi is the right proof of the manthra siddhi ; Dayalam is the witness for that manthra siddhi ! Deiva tejus in the face is the result of the manthra siddhi ; the ever surrounding crowd is the proof of the akarshana sthalam ; all these will be at a place ; and this is done by Ganapathy ! Ganapathy upasana alone is enough to win over this world ; How many people will get this manthra siddhi of Ganapathy ? The Ganapathy Manthra siddhi is possible only by His blessings ! Some people complain that their wish & work is not attained ; it is just because :- the manthra siddhi is attained ; poorna japam is not done ; the chanting of Mahaganapathy’s moola manthram ; what’s the use of simply wearing the silk & jewells & sitting there like a dumb king ? Now , we will proceed further into this subject !

To be continued.

SHREE GANESH JAYANTI on 26th January 2012 – A SPIRITUAL CELEBRATION

Performing Holy and Religious festivals not only give us happiness, bliss and peace while alive, but help us gain momentum after death. These make us aware of the seasonal changes in Nature, increase our devotion and give us spiritual benefits and education in observing these festivals and religious observances.

Holy and Religious festivals and observances have a scientific base. Celebrating with rituals (karmakand) results in generation of chaitanya (Divine consciousness) and that helps even a materialistic individual on the path towards God. The festivals and observances are so important that they occur on 75% of the Hindu calendar dates (tithis). This enables a person to exercise restraint in his life, so that gradually the person becomes accustomed to a disciplined life.

While we see celebrations of these Hindu festivals with pomp and gaiety, it is important for us to exercise extreme care and alertness and ensure that the purity of these rituals is maintained and no act results in the denigration of Deities. In the spiritual sense, each Deity is a unique Principle. It is coexistence of the energy related to words, touch, taste, form and fragrance which reside together. Great care should be taken to prepare an Idol correctly as per the Science of making idols or else it will not attract the Principle of the Deity. Thus, a devotee worshipping such an Idol will not derive any benefit. At the same time, it will also amount to denigration of the Deity.

Sree Ganesh Jayanti

Sree Ganesh Jayanti, the day on which the Ganesh frequencies reached earth for the first time, i.e. the day on which Sree Ganesh was born, is the fourth day (chaturthi) of the bright fortnight of the Hindu lunar month of Maagh, this year this auspicious day falls on 26th January. On the particular day of the festival, a clay idol of Sree Ganesh is brought and ritualistically worshipped for 1 to 10 days depending on the tradition in family. It is then immersed in water. On this auspicious occasion, we can do maximum efforts to derive spiritual benefit from heightened presence of Sree Ganesh principle on earth. One can chant Sree Ganesh’s Name ‘Om Gan Ganapataye namaha’ ,3 to 9 turns of a mala (108 stringed beads). In addition to this, a devotee should worship Sree Ganesh’s idol or picture, ritualistically. From this one can derive the benefit of Sree Ganesh’s Divine energy and Divine consciousness that come to earth in higher amounts on this day. Reciting Sree Ganesh Atharvashirsha (stotra, holy verses in praise of Sree Ganesh) adds to these benefits.

From this one can derive the benefit of Sree Ganesh’s divine energy and divine consciousness that come to earth in higher amounts. The devotee then derives 100% benefit from the heightened Sree Ganesh Principle on earth.

Special features of Sree Ganesh

A.With the worship and remembering of Sree Ganesh at the commencement of any task, the ten directions are cleared. This means Sree Ganesh makes the necessary Deity’s principle available to us. This is called ‘Mahadvarpujan’ or ‘Mahaganapatipujan’.

B. Sree Ganesh converts man’s language of sound into the language of light of the Deities and vice versa and thus conveys our prayers to the Deities.

C. Most people in society have many difficulties in life. Physical and mental distress is suffered due to negative energies. The distress of negative energies can be eliminated by chanting the name of Sree Ganesh with spiritual emotion (bhav).

Why   Sree Ganesh  is called Vighnaharta’ ?

Three hundred sixty different frequencies are continuously in motion in the eight directions around the earth. The raja frequencies among them are called ‘tiryak’ frequencies and the tama frequencies ‘visphutit’. These clusters of frequencies adversely affect the world of living beings. Sree Ganesh controls these clusters and destroys the obstacles. Hence He is called ‘Vighnaharta’, that is, the remover of obstacles.

A question commonly asked regarding bringing a new idol:

Usually every Hindu household has an idol of Sree Ganesh that is used in daily ritualistic worship. So a question may arise that why a new idol of the deity is brought during this festival of Ganesh Chaturthi only to be immersed few days later after worship?  The reason being, during the period of Ganesh Chaturthi, Sree Ganesh frequencies reach the earth in very large quantities. If these frequencies are invoked in the usual idol of worship, then that idol will imbibe a tremendous amount of energy. To worship such an idol by meticulously observing all the norms of ritualistic worship throughout the year is a difficult task since one has to follow the restrictions of ritualistic worship (karmakânda). Hence a new idol is installed to invoke the Ganesh frequencies and is then immersed.
